Paul Levin

1914 - 1996

"I believe this is a great hour of opportunity, and all evangelists, pastors and Christians of sound, separated churches ought to go all out in soul winning, knocking on doors, extensive bus ministries, and forget all about 'why you can't see many people saved these days."

Paul Levin, the son of Swedish immigrants, was born in Moline, Illinois, in 1914. He was led to Christ by his godly mother at the age of four.

From his earliest days, he "preached" with a piano stool for his pulpit! Levin surrendered his life for full-time service to Christ as a teenager and began preaching in evangelistic campaigns. He teamed with blind singer Bob Findley in 1934, and they crossed the country preaching the Gospel.

Levin started a daily radio program, "Bible Tract Echoes," and for many years served as the president of Bible Tracts. He wrote more than forty tracts with a circulation of over 230 million in more than 75 languages. His most famous booklet is entitled "The New Birth".

For many years, Levin was a featured speaker during youth weeks at the Bill Rice Ranch. Thousands of young people were saved and called into Christian service under his unique style of preaching.

After a lengthy bout with cancer, Dr. Levin went Home to be with the Lord on September 7, 1996.
